Student Technology Fee 2005-2006

Please use the following format to submit your proposal for technology fee funding. To see this form in pdf format, click here

  1. Name of proposer (If group or department, identify principal proposer, including phone number and e-mail address).

  2. Detailed description, including timeline, equipment/software acquisitions, personnel, etc.

  3. Description of expected outcome.

  4. Method for assessing outcomes (see note * below).

  5. Estimated cost.

  6. Relationship of proposal to the following criteria:

    1. supports direct access before mediated access (technologies used directly by students before technologies used by faculty and staff to deliver instructional services to students);

    2. supports academic or instructional technologies before non-academic/instructional technologies;

    3. supports broad range of use before narrow (technologies that are used by or affect a large percentage of the student population before technologies that affect a smaller percentage of the student population);

    4. supports the use and maintenance of existing instructional technology resources before adding or investing in new resources;

    5. is congruent with our institutional Technology Plan 2002 (http://gabby.umpi.maine.edu/pdf/techplan02.pdf ).

*Successful applicants will be asked to submit a brief report to the Executive Director of Information Services, assessing outcomes of the technology's implementation, by March of the following year. Failure to submit a complete proposal or assess outcomes may result in reduced funding opportunities the following year.

To be considered, proposals must be submitted to the Executive Director of Information Services, no later than Monday, April 11th, 2005.
