Using TextBridge Pro 98

TextBridge Pro 98 enables you to quickly transfer words that you have on paper to your computer in an editable text document by using OCR (Optical Character Recognition).

TextBridge Wizard

The TextBridge Wizard is available for the novice user. You can select it from the "Process" pull-down menu. Follow these steps:

  1. Select "Scanner".
  2. Select your layout ("Any layout" is the default)
  3. Select your print type ("Any" is the default)
  4. Choose whether you want to retain Pictures and Page Layout
  5. Click "Proofread" to have TextBridge Pro proofread for you
  6. The VistaScan32 scanner control software is then started to perform the scan.
  7. After scanning you are returned to TextBridge Pro and asked if there are any more pages. When you have scanned your last page, select "no more".
  8. By default, TextBridge will save the document in the "Word Office 97 (*.rtf)" format. This is a standard "Save As" dialog box, and you can choose the location and file type that you prefer.
