Most UMPI campus classrooms and meeting areas contain an Internet-connected network access port. Instructors and students with access to a portable Internet-capable computer can surf live Internet content during class or meetings (for presentation or just plain fun). Internet access can provide information that can be very valuable in the classroom. Remember, however, relying on the Internet for live-use is risky. Always have a backup plan.
