Introduction
The university provides computer system accounts to adjunct faculty
for the purpose of supporting adjunct faculty's university
responsibilities.
Use of computer system accounts by adjunct faculty is governed by existing
acceptable use policies and other policies described in this document.
Activation
Computer system accounts for adjunct faculty are activated two
weeks prior to the semester in which adjuncts are contracted to
teach. Authorization to activate accounts may only come from the
Academic Affairs office.
Deactivation
Adjunct faculty computer system accounts are deactivated two
weeks after the end of each semester, unless the adjunct faculty
member is contracted to teach the following semester (fall or
spring). Computer Services is not responsible for any data files
remaining in computer system accounts at the time of deactivation.
Appeal
Adjunct faculty members who need to retain computer system
accounts, during periods of non-employment, may appeal the
normal deactivation policy by contacting the Vice President for
Academic Affairs.
