Self-Development

Self-Development

Computer Services can assist you with accessing many different self-development resources.

  • Instructional Videos are an ideal way to acquire new computing skills at your own pace.
  • Software Manuals are provided with some packages and are usually available for purchase for others. A manufacturer's software manuals are usually in the form of a reference book and are most useful for intermediate and advanced users who know what they're looking for.
  • Self-training books comprise a huge market of materials aimed at various expertise levels. Many series are designed specifically for users with little or no experience.
    • CS will assist individuals or departments with selecting the resource manuals that will best work for them.
  • Internet Resources - The Internet is teeming with tutorials for learning to use computers. (Of course you first have to be comfortable with using the Internet. ) Internet resources are especially suited for learning how to develop (surprise!) Internet web pages. Check out the many HTML tutors indexed at Yahoo!
